It helps keep the filament flowing, the printers busy, and the aliens multiplying. 👽☕ Life-Size Alien Lurker – Giant Halloween Yard Display The Lurker has officially gone life-size! 👽 This is the full-size version of the Lurker from my Alien Scout Team, scaled to represent an approximately 3-foot-tall alien if standing upright. Because of his low crawling pose, the finished model sits lower than 3 feet overall, but that’s exactly what makes him work so well as a Halloween display. He looks like he’s creeping through the yard, hiding in the landscaping, or sneaking up on whoever happens to walk past.   At life-size scale, the Lurker has a completely different presence than the smaller version. He’s low, wide, creepy, and perfect for putting somewhere people won’t notice him right away.   👽 The Alien Scout Team Is Going Life-Size The image above shows where this project is heading — the Alien Scout Team together as life-size 3D printed Halloween decorations. The Lurker joins the growing lineup of life-size Alien Scout Team models, with the goal of eventually having the entire crew available as full-size display pieces.   The invasion is getting bigger one alien at a time.   🖨️ Designed for Standard-Size 3D Printers You don’t need a large-format printer to make the Lurker. The model has been divided into multiple printable sections so the complete life-size version can be printed on a standard-size 3D printer and assembled afterward. Using the supplied print profile, the complete life-size Lurker uses just slightly under 2 rolls of filament. For a display piece this large, that keeps the project surprisingly manageable.   🔩 Pentagon Dowels for Easier Assembly The Lurker uses 3D-printed pentagon dowels to help connect and align the individual sections. The pentagon shape helps keep the parts oriented correctly and prevents them from rotating while you’re putting the model together. The required dowels are included with the files, so there’s no need to buy or cut separate wooden dowels. Just print the model, print the dowels, and assemble.   📏 Life-Size Scale The Lurker is scaled to represent an alien approximately 3 feet tall if standing upright. Because he is crawling low to the ground, the actual assembled model is much shorter than 3 feet in height. Think of him as a life-size 3-foot alien caught sneaking around on all fours. The model can also be scaled smaller or larger depending on the display you want.   🎃 Made for Halloween Displays The Lurker was made for the kind of Halloween display where people notice something moving around the yard…then realize something is staring back at them.
