Rubberband Submarine 🤿 Dive into some bathtub or pool fun with this little print-in-place submarine! 🐳💦 The special part? You can take it straight off the printer after roughly 2 hours — no assembly, no supports, and no complicated setup. Just print, add a rubber band, and let the submarine dive into action! 🤿 ⚙️ How does it work? A simple rubber band is stretched through the center of the submarine and connected to the propeller. Wind it up, release it, and the stored energy drives the ship's screw to propel the submarine forward. 🚤💨 🔩 Even the bearing is completely print-in-place! It should already move nicely straight off the printer. If you want it to run even more smoothly, simply add one tiny drop of Bambu Lab oil to the connection. 🛠️✨ 👦 Made for fun! This is intentionally a simple children's toy, and my son has already had a lot of fun testing it in the water. 🥰🌊 And yes — when fully wound up, the submarine can actually travel a short distance under its own power! 🚢💦 ⚠️ Just don't expect a nuclear-powered submarine! 😂 The rubber-band drive releases its energy very quickly, so the propulsion is short and sweet. And winding it back up can easily take more than a minute. 😄🔄 Still, that's part of the fun: wind it up → let it go → watch it cruise → repeat! 🌀🚤 A tiny submarine. A simple mechanism. Lots of bathtub fun! 💙 Rubberband Assembly Video:
