CITTADIA — A Complete City-Building Game for PlayGrid Build together. Plan for yourself. Shape the city. 📖 Complete 🇬🇧 English Rulebook or 🇮🇹 Italian Rulebook   CITTADIA is a competitive 2–4 player city-building board game designed from the ground up for the PlayGrid ecosystem. All players build the same city on a shared 10×10 grid, placing Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Monument buildings while competing to create the most valuable urban plan. But this is not a peaceful construction project. Every building changes the value of the spaces around it. A Commercial building may improve your neighborhood — and your opponent's. Industries can create opportunities while making nearby Residential buildings less desirable. Players may even contribute to the same Residential District while fighting for control of it. Position, orthogonal adjacency and terrain directly affect scoring. Sea and Mountains restrict construction while creating new scoring opportunities, and Events can physically change the board during the game. The result is a city that grows and changes directly on the grid. 20 BUILDINGS. ONLY 15 ROUNDS. Each player starts with: 8 × Residential (R) 6 × Commercial (C) 4 × Industrial (I) 2 × Monument (M) That's 20 buildings — but only 15 rounds to build them. You decide what to build, what to leave in your supply and, most importantly, where to place it. Buildings score according to their orthogonal neighbors and surrounding terrain, creating a simple placement system with plenty of strategic interaction. 🎲 A CITY NEVER GOES EXACTLY TO PLAN At the end of rounds 5 and 10, one roll of the custom Event Die affects everyone: 🌊 FLOOD — new Sea tiles appear ⛰️ LANDSLIDE — new Mountains reshape the landscape 💥 EARTHQUAKE — buildings may disappear Events physically modify the shared PlayGrid board and force everyone to adapt their strategy. 9 SCENARIOS The game includes 9 ready-to-play scenarios, with three maps for each player count: 2 Players — Napoli · Sorrento · Aosta 3 Players — Ferrara · Trieste · Bolzano 4 Players — Messina · Genova · Firenze Each set offers different terrain layouts and levels of challenge while using exactly the same rules. Learn one game — explore nine cities. FREE CITY MODE And you don't actually need a predefined map. In Free City Mode, the players create the landscape themselves before the game begins. Taking turns, they place Sea and Mountain tiles directly onto PlayGrid, gradually creating an entirely new environment to build on. The number of terrain tiles automatically scales with the number of players. One grid. Endless cities. The same set of components can produce completely different landscapes, building opportunities and strategic problems from one game to the next.
