Descripción
Follow the collection for new rack modules and updates A 2U rack storage module designed to fit up to 8 × 2.5" drives in hot-swap, combining a Flex PSU with forced airflow directly across the drives. The bays are compatible with HP ProLiant Gen8/Gen9 2.5" caddies, as well as my own custom 3D-printed caddies. Features 2U rack height 8 × 2.5" hot-swap drive bays Compatible with HP Gen8 / Gen9 caddies Compatible with my 3D printed HP-style caddies 2.5" Files here Integrated space for a Flex PSU Forced airflow across the drives for active cooling Front-accessible drives Designed for NAS, home servers and homelab projects 3D-printable and modular design Designed for 10" rack systems A compact way to pack 8 hot-swap drives into just 2U, while keeping the drives easily accessible and actively cooled. Boost MeIf you found this model usefull consider giving it a boostWhy this model? Existing drive cages often require more rack depth. Many designs are incompatible with short HP-style caddies. This module maximizes storage capacity while remaining compact. Ideal for building modular storage systems in 10-inch racks. Perfect to add drives without insufficient power issues. Use Cases NAS builds Homelab storage servers TrueNAS Unraid Proxmox 10" rack systems Compact storage appliances Printing 0.2 mm layer height 2–3 walls 15–20% infill PETG / ABS / ASA recommended Assembly To join the 2 parts they just lock in place, and you can lift the module by the fans while full of disks without it detaching, but feel free to add some screws. To be ablke to achieve hotswap, you are going to need these adapters Link here I recommend using the sas to sata adapters as they can fit sas disks as well as sata disks without any downside and are not much more expensive. To mount all drives you will need: 8 HP Gen8/Gen9 compatible 2.5" drive caddies (original or my printable version) 8 SATA/SAS adapters 16 M3×8 mm screws (or similar) for mounting the adapters The drives simply slide into the module, providing a clean, compact and modular storage solution for your homelab.
