Feedback on additional hub styles, mounting systems and tested propeller configurations is welcome.PARAMETRIC SUPPORT-FREE PROPELLER GENERATOR Create a custom propeller directly in MakerWorld by changing only the parameters that matter. The generator automatically calculates the hub, blade area, blade width, root transition, thickness distribution, printable pitch and tip geometry while keeping the complete underside flat on the build plate. The result is a geometrically symmetric propeller designed specifically around support-free FDM printing. CUSTOMIZABLE PARAMETERS Propeller Diameter: final tip-to-tip diameter Blade Count: 2–6 blades Center Bore Diameter: center mounting hole size Design RPM: reference operating speed used for calculations and geometry checks Performance Focus: Efficient Airflow, Balanced or Static Thrust Rotation Direction: CW or CCW when viewed from the raised blade side PERFORMANCE FOCUS Efficient Airflow uses lighter blade loading and less blade area. Balanced is the general-purpose default and balances blade area, printable pitch and structural mass. Static Thrust uses more blade area and loading for applications where stronger static airflow is preferred. DESIGNED FOR FDM PRINTING The blade geometry is built around a completely flat print side. This means: no supports under the blades large first-layer contact area controlled minimum blade thickness strong hub-to-blade transitions automatically adjusted blade area for different blade counts smooth root geometry without narrow necks tapered blade thickness toward the tips The supplied print profile uses a 127 mm 3-blade Balanced configuration as an easy ready-to-print reference. PRINTING For the supplied PETG HF profile: 0.4 mm nozzle 0.16 mm layer height Arachne wall generator 4 wall loops 100% solid infill no supports no brim for the default 127 mm version print completely flat in the provided orientation 100% infill is intentional. The generated geometry is designed as a solid blade structure, and a solid print gives a more predictable blade mass, stiffness and balance than a sparse internal infill pattern. For other materials, printers or significantly larger generated variants, adjust the print profile according to the material and machine. HOW TO CUSTOMIZE Open Customize. Select the required propeller diameter. Choose the blade count. Measure and enter the required center bore diameter. Enter the intended reference RPM. Select the performance focus. Select CW or CCW rotation. Generate the model and inspect the resulting geometry before printing. Design RPM is a calculation and geometry input only. It is not a certified safe RPM rating. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE This is an experimental FDM propeller generator intended for airflow, fan, maker and low-to-moderate-RPM prototyping. A generated CAD model being geometrically valid does not certify the finished printed part for flight or high-RPM operation. Printed strength depends on material, moisture, layer adhesion, extrusion quality, print defects, temperature, fatigue and many other factors.
