100mm (4in) Twist Lock Dust collection hose

Here's my take on a twist lock system for 100mm (4in) dust hoses. I designed this to use with 4in flex hose to connect to the various tools in my shop that are not directly connected to the dust collector.    I printed with 4 walls in regular PLA and its held up fine so far. If you want more impact resistance and/or temperature or UV resistance, you can choose a filament that suits those needs. The fit is snug, but should twist easily if using “aligned” seams. If you want a tighter fit, print with “random” seam positions or edit using STEP files.   There are 4 features I wanted in a system that I could not find with the many other designs already published: The system prints without supports It does not require hardware. The twist lock system uses dovetail pins to lock once twisted.  A way to prevent the hose from creating a seal and sucking down onto flat surfaces when the dust collector is running. The male side (shown in red in photos) should be connected to the vacuum side. The dovetail pins sticking out on the vacuum side prevent the hose from creating a seal. When connected, the internal walls of the adapters are as smooth as possible to improve airflow and keep dust from building up. See cross-section image. The male side has a lip version that I like because it helps keep the flex hose from sliding off. Just use a regular hose clamp to attach to the hose.   The print profile has two female sides with 100mm inner diameter and one slightly larger 101mm. For most tools, you can just press-fit the female part over the stock dust port.
