The idea behind the design Before starting this project, I looked at some of the SLUSHi drying stands already available to get inspiration and see how others had approached the problem. From there, I started from scratch and designed my own version around the things I wanted a drying stand to do differently: print quickly, use relatively little material, be easy to assemble and disassemble, store compactly, hold the spout securely open, and allow the container to drain in either direction. The result is my own take on a simple SLUSHi drying stand, designed specifically around fast printing with no supports, effortless assembly, easy everyday use and compact storage. ✨ Why I designed it this way 🖨️ Fast print – under 4 hours The entire stand is designed around efficient printing. Compact individual parts combined with the large elliptical cut-outs keep both material use and print time down. With my print profile, the complete stand takes just 3h 52min. 🧩 Dovetail quick assembly Integrated dovetail joints allow the individual components to be printed face-down for easy and clean printing, then quickly joined together without screws or complicated hardware. 📦 Quick to disassemble & compact to store The dovetail construction also means the stand can easily be taken apart again. Once disassembled, the individual pieces have a small footprint, making the stand much easier to put away when it isn't needed. 💪 Wide & stable spout wedge I designed a wider support wedge for the dispensing spout/handle to provide a larger contact area. This helps prevent the support from slipping on the container and gives it a strong, stable hold while keeping the handle/spout open during drying. 🔄 Two-way drying The container can be placed securely in the frame in either direction. Position the dispensing end downward to let remaining water drain through the spout, or turn the container around and allow it to drain through the large rear opening. 💨 Material-saving elliptical frame design The large elliptical openings aren't only there for appearance. They remove unnecessary material, help keep the print time below four hours and maintain an open structure around the container. Boost MeIf you like this Ninja SLUSHi drying stand and appreciate the thought put into fast printing, compact storage, dovetail assembly and two-way drying, a Boost would mean a lot! ❤️ Your support helps motivate me to keep designing and sharing more practical, functional everyday solutions. Thanks for the support – and happy printing! 🧊🚀
