“Glory to High Command! Glory to the Operators! Glory to Castile!” If you have already taken your station inside a 5,000-ton steel monster—reading teleprinter orders, measuring the tactical map, calculating a firing solution, and operating the enormous machinery by hand—then this machine needs no introduction. This is the IRON NEST from IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator. IRON NEST is a dieselpunk heavy-artillery simulator built around the operation of a colossal war machine. Instead of simply pointing at a target and firing, the player takes the role of an Operator and manually works through the firing process: interpreting orders, measuring range and bearing, handling ammunition, operating the turret mechanisms, and ultimately sending massive shells downrange. Its 5,000-ton turret, enormous twin guns, industrial machinery, and unmistakable quadruped chassis give the IRON NEST its unique silhouette. And now, the IRON NEST has stepped off the tactical map and onto your desk. This 1:500 scale desktop miniature is approximately 10 cm long. Despite its compact size, the model preserves the most recognizable features of the IRON NEST, including its twin long-barrel guns, armored turret, blast bags, turret ring, and four-legged mechanical chassis. I also added extensive surface and mechanical detailing, including rivets, hatches, pipes, armor panels, joints, and other small components. This fan-made model was reconstructed from gameplay footage and publicly available promotional material. Some mechanical structures were not clearly visible in the available references, so those areas were interpreted and further detailed for this printable version. As a result, some features may differ from the official in-game model. The model consists of only 7 parts: the turret body, quadruped chassis, two gun barrels, left and right blast bags, and a turret pivot pin. Once assembled, the turret can rotate horizontally. To preserve strength, printability, and detail at this compact scale, gun elevation and the leg mechanisms are fixed. The gray structure and white blast bags are separated onto different build plates, so the intended two-color appearance can be achieved without an AMS or in-print filament changes. The parts are designed with alignment features to make assembly straightforward, although a small amount of glue is required for final assembly. I recommend UHU All Purpose Adhesive (classic yellow tube). Two print profiles are included: 0.4 mm nozzle — a faster and more convenient option for general printing. 0.2 mm nozzle — recommended if you want to bring out as much of the fine mechanical and armor detail as possible.
