Intro: Hello Makers! Here's a new 4-wing boomerang toy based on my previous Fuma Shuriken from Naruto. It is print-in-place, shaped like a tanto knife, and prints in 1 hour, and works right off the plate. Make sure to watch a boomerang-throwing tutorial before using this toy! It takes a bit of practice, but when you get it, it feels like magic. Also, make sure you print the right-hand model if you're right-handed and vice versa. Lastly, if you can, print in a strong material like PLA Tough or PETG for impact resistance. How to Throw: (Reverse directions for left-handed people.) First, hold the boomerang in front of you and tilt it to the right slightly. Curl your wrist back while throwing the boomerang to your right at around a 40-degree angle upwards. Also, you will likely have to step into your throw for extra power, but make sure not to throw too hard. If it's windy, make sure to throw just right of the direction that the wind is blowing. Refer below for troubleshooting. Quick Troubleshooting: Issue 1# If your boomerang is going up, then coming straight down, you are likely throwing with too much of an angle and/or too hard. Refer to a tutorial for the correct angle. Issue 2# If your boomerang is stopping in front of you, try throwing with more force. This should give you the extra returning distance you need. Issue 3# If your boomerang starts returning, then flips and goes forward, try a lower launch angle and/or less power. Around a 40/45 degree angle is good. Refer to the GIFs of me throwing above for a better idea of how to use the boomerang.
