Kura Coffee Station Kura — 蔵 — the Japanese word for storehouse. Most capsule holders show you their mechanism. Kura doesn't. The extraction mouth lives entirely inside the solid foot, so the body above stays a clean ribbed vessel — no window, no slot, nothing punched through it. Two elements only: the fluted vessel and the base it stands on. It reads as an object first and a dispenser second, which is exactly the point. Lift the dish lid, drop the capsules in, take the next one from the foot. How it works Loading. The lid lifts off and every shaft opens with a funnelled lead-in, so capsules find the centre by themselves instead of needing to be aimed. The lid's dish holds the capsule you've chosen for the next coffee, or a spoon, or a sugar stick. Feeding. Three runner rails rise inside each shaft. The capsule rides on the rail crests rather than sliding against a full wall — line contact instead of surface contact, so it drops cleanly and stays vertical. The clearance is tight enough that a capsule can tilt only about two degrees: jamming is geometrically impossible, not just unlikely. Taking one out. A retaining lip holds the stack. The mouth is cut taller than the capsule itself, so the last one lifts clear of the lip and comes out in one movement — no fishing, no shaking the tower. Flat capsules are different, and the model knows it. You can't pinch a disc the way you pinch a cone. When you pick a flat format, the columns switch by themselves to a slide-out mechanism: raised sill, low mouth, a thumb dip in the sill, and a floor that tilts forward so the last one presents itself. Each preset carries three measurements — diameter, capsule height, stack pitch — and each drives a different part of the shape. Change system and the whole object reproportions itself: the shaft widens, the mouth grows to match the capsule, the tower finds its new height. It doesn't just get taller. Measure your own capsules before printing. The presets are researched values, not measurements of your box. For the stack pitch: stack ten, measure the total, divide by ten, then use capsule_type = Custom. The first three are all most people need; the rest are there when you want to match a capsule exactly or tune the fit to your printer. Printing No supports on the body, lid, saucer or tray — every part is modelled sitting on the build surface in its printing orientation. The ring handle on the cup is the one exception: it needs support under the loop, or set handle_style = Tab for a solid pinch paddle that prints support-free. The finish that makes it: enable Fuzzy Skin on the foot only and leave the ribbed body in normal mode. Textured base against crisp ribs — that contrast is what turns a printed part into an object. Never export a ..._Preview. Those are assemblies: the lid rests on the body, the cup sits in the saucer. Use the Part_ options for single pieces or the Plate_ options for a whole plate.
