WILL UPDATE WITH PHOTOS SOON, BUT THE GEOMETRY IS THE SAME AS MY SMALLER GORGOSAURUS SKULL, JUST SCALED UP Bring a full-sized tyrannosaur skull into your home with this lifesize Gorgosaurus skull, measuring approximately 1,000 mm long when fully assembled. Gorgosaurus was a large tyrannosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 75 million years ago. Although slightly smaller and more lightly built than Tyrannosaurus rex, it was still a formidable predator, with a large skull, powerful jaws and rows of serrated teeth. This model has been divided into 44 separate parts across 23 build plates, allowing the entire skull to be printed on machines with a build area of approximately 255 × 255 mm or larger. Once assembled, the finished skull makes an enormous display piece for dinosaur collectors, museums, classrooms, fossil enthusiasts or anyone who has ever wanted a full-sized tyrannosaur skull on their wall or shelf. Model Details Scale: Lifesize Finished length: Approximately 1,000 mm / 39.4 inches Number of parts: 44 Number of build plates: 23 Designed for printers with a build plate of around 255 × 255 mm or larger Supplied as a multipart model for printing and assembly Individual parts can be glued together after printing Suitable for PLA, PETG, ABS or similar materials Larger printers may be able to combine sections and reduce the total number of pieces This is a substantial printing project and will require a significant amount of filament, printing time and assembly, but the result is a genuinely impressive lifesize display model. Printing and Assembly Print each plate using the orientation provided in the included print profile. Before gluing, dry-fit the pieces together and check that all joints are properly aligned. A small amount of sanding may help improve the fit between sections depending on your printer settings and material. For a strong final assembly, use an adhesive suitable for your chosen filament. Two-part epoxy, cyanoacrylate superglue or solvent welding may be suitable depending on the material used. The completed skull can be filled, sanded, primed and painted for a more realistic fossil or museum-display finish. Additional profiles for other machines and build-plate sizes may be added in the future, including versions designed to use fewer sections on larger printers.
