Y'all Asked for It, Here It Is! — No Hardware Needed, Just Print & Play! I've been making Wobblz for over a year, and the number one comment I always receive is: "Can I print this without using washers?" I long held onto the washer design because I wanted Wobblz to remain small, portable, and easy to balance consistently across different character designs. However, I realized that requiring hardware was preventing a lot of people from enjoying the Wobblz series. So, I redesigned the O.G. into a completely hardware-free version: Weighted Geometry: The bottom section is printed as solid plastic, while the top half remains hollow to lower the center of gravity and maintain that classic wobble. Updated Proportions: To get the right weight ratio without extra ballast, the model has been scaled up to 130% and slightly shortened—a proportion shift that makes it look even cuter! Print Settings: The top shell uses 0% infill and 3 walls. While it's quite robust, keep in mind it can still crack if stepped on or dropped repeatedly. Assembly Tip: The central screw piece is half-solid and half-hollow. To ensure it balances correctly, make sure the side marked with the printed dot faces UP when assembling. Spin it, Flick it, Roll it, and watch in delight as it tumbles back upright!                                     Click here!: https://makerworld.com/en/collections/20148284-wobblz   I wanted to create a fidget toy with a different type of play feature from the common articulating toys, taking inspiration from classic wobbling toys to bring that same nostalgic, self-righting motion to the 3D printing community. They Wobble instead of Wiggle! Key Features & Printability Self-Righting Action: A solid base and hollow top part shifts the center of gravity, ensuring the model always returns to an upright position. No Supports Needed: Optimized geometry for a clean, support-free print directly off the build plate. Smooth Finish: Designed for a clean look that feels great in the hand and looks sharp on any desk. Great at Markets!: I've sold out of stocks of these several times at farmers' markets and events. Kids love 'em  Technical Details Size: At 100% scale, the Wobblz stands 73mm (2.87 inches) tall and is 55mm (2.17 inches) in diameter.     CRITICAL: WEIGHT AND BALANCE The self-righting mechanic relies entirely on the specific weight and center of gravity provided by the internal ballast. Precision Counterweight: The center screw has a circle marked on one side, this is the hollow side and should face upward for balance.  Community Feedback: If you experiment with other washers and find a specific brand that works perfectly, please share the details in the comments! Assembly Instructions Print Parts: Print the body, base cap, eyes, and internal core. Insert Core: screw the core onto the bottom,  lining up the circle dot on top! Insert Eyes: Pop the eyes out of the snap card; you'll find they have a bump on one side. Line this up with the matching dent in the eye socket and press firmly until they snap into place. Secure: screw together the bottom and top halves. If small children are present i highly recommend gluing in the eyes and screw so they don't become choking hazards!  Wobble: Once dry, give it a shove! Want to see this toy expanded? Ive got some great ideas in the works but would love to hear your thoughts. Should I add more characters? Get rid of the glue? add accesories? Let me know in the comments section! Your support helps me know to put more modeling time into expanding it!
