After printing, the patch can be heat-bonded to compatible synthetic screen material for a more permanent repair. Customization Click Customize, then enter the desired width and height of the repair patch. Default Dimensions Overall patch size: 3 × 3 inches Metric dimensions: 76.2 × 76.2 mm Strand width: approximately 0.28 mm / 0.011 inch Default Mesh Spacing 18 strands per inch in one direction 16 strands per inch in the other direction X-axis pitch: 1.411 mm Y-axis pitch: 1.588 mm Approximate opening size: 1.13 × 1.31 mm These dimensions are intended to resemble common household fiberglass insect screen. Recommended Slicer Settings Layer height: 0.08 mm Wall generator: Arachne Print flat on the build plate Smooth build plate is recommended Installation Trim away any loose or damaged strands around the hole. Clean the repair area and allow it to dry. Place the printed patch over the damaged section. Hold the patch in position so it remains flat against the existing screen. Set a heat gun to its lowest practical temperature and airflow setting. Warm the patch gradually using constant movement. The patch may shrink slightly during heating. This is normal. After approximately 30–45 seconds of gradual heating, stop and allow the patch to cool completely. Gently test the corners and edges for adhesion.
