Easy Plug Puller V2 – Compact EU Type E/F (45 mm)

A more compact version created from user feedback A user of the original Easy Plug Puller asked whether I could create a more compact version for European outlets installed side by side. This V2 is the result of that feedback. It keeps the same simple two-part mechanism as the original version while introducing several important improvements: More compact design for adjacent outlets with 45 mm centre spacing Offset pivot to increase the effective lever arm Easier plug extraction with less hand effort Improved pivot locking to help prevent the parts from disengaging during use Reduced overall width No screws, glue, magnets or additional hardware What is new in V2? Compact 45 mm design The overall width has been reduced so that two plug pullers can be used on adjacent European outlets with approximately 45 mm between their centres. This makes the V2 better suited to double wall outlets, power strips and other closely spaced sockets. Increased leverage The pivot position has been moved to increase the effective lever arm. This improved geometry makes it easier to begin extracting the plug, especially when the plug is tight or difficult to grip. Improved pivot locking The pivot and retaining geometry have been redesigned to reduce the risk of the two printed parts disengaging while force is being applied. The mechanism remains simple to assemble while providing better retention during use. How does it work? The mechanism is fitted around the body of the electrical plug. When the large rounded lever is pressed toward the wall, it bears against the outlet faceplate and helps push the plug outward. Once the plug begins to move, simply hold the plug body and complete the extraction. Before printing, compare your plug with the photographs shown on this page. The mechanism must never prevent the plug from being inserted completely into the electrical outlet. The 45 mm measurement refers to the centre-to-centre distance between two adjacent outlets. Assembly instructions Print both parts using the supplied orientation. Remove the small support areas carefully. Check that the pivot surfaces are clean. Gently spread the two arms of the lever. Position the circular plug collar between the arms. Align the arrow marks on both pivots. Press both sides together until the pivots are completely engaged. Check that the lever rotates freely. Check that both pivots remain correctly locked in position. Fit the assembled mechanism around the plug body. Do not spread the arms more than necessary. If one of the pivots does not engage correctly, do not force it. Remove the collar, realign the parts and try again.   How to use Check that the printed mechanism is not cracked, loose or deformed. Fit it correctly around the plug body. Insert the plug completely into the electrical outlet. Press the large lever toward the wall. Allow the lever to begin extracting the plug. Hold the plug body and complete the removal. Never finish the extraction by pulling on the electrical cable. Safety information This model is a convenience and accessibility accessory. It is not a certified electrical safety device and it is not a medical device. Never use it if it prevents the plug from being inserted completely. Never touch the metal pins of the plug. Never operate or adjust the mechanism while touching exposed electrical contacts. Do not use it with a damaged plug. Do not use it with a damaged or loose electrical outlet. Do not use it if the plug or outlet is cracked, wet, deformed or unusually hot. Do not use it on a damaged or loose outlet faceplate. Stop using the printed part if it becomes cracked, loose or deformed. Inspect the mechanism regularly. Always complete the extraction by holding the plug body. Never pull directly on the electrical cable. The user is responsible for checking compatibility with their plug and electrical outlet.
