Fan Maker - The Ultimate Parametric Folding Fan Welcome to the Fan Maker! Create your own fully customizable, mechanical folding fan directly in the browser. Designed with a print-in-place friendly dovetail (V-pin) sliding mechanism, it requires absolutely zero supports and offers endless personalization options for text and SVG logos. 🚀 Quick Start Select your preferred size and colors. Choose "Single Image Across Fan" to spread a graphic or curved text beautifully across all blades, or personalize each blade individually. Once you are happy with the preview, switch the View Mode to the printing plates (e.g., "Blades 1 to 6 + Hardware") and export to print! 🛠️ Features & Settings View Settings Use this dropdown to switch between the "Assembled Fan (Preview)" to design your fan, and the specific printing plates (like "Blades 1 to 6 + Hardware") to export your models for the slicer. Colors Pick standard colors for the blades and the text/SVG inlay to preview your multi-color print accurately before exporting. Dimensions Adjust the overall length, top width, and thickness of your fan. The internal dovetail mechanism scales automatically! Personalization Global Here the magic happens. Choose between a single image across the whole fan or individual blades. Adjust text rotation, font, size, and line spacing. Pro Tip: Use the "Text Curve Radius" (e.g., 80) and "Text Letter Spacing" to perfectly bend your text along the fan's arc! SVG Graphic Want to use a logo? Upload your own SVG file and scale/move it using the X and Y positions to fit perfectly across the blades. Personalization - Blades If you chose the individual mode, you can add up to 3 lines of text or distinct SVG graphics for every single blade here. Advanced System Settings Fine-tune the mechanics for your specific 3D printer. Adjust the thread clearance for a buttery smooth nut, or tweak the pin/hole tolerances if your printer needs a little extra room. ⚙️ Assembly Instructions Simply stack the printed blades in the correct order, slip the dovetail V-pins into the corresponding slots with a 90-degree twist to lock them in, insert the bolt through the bottom holes, and gently screw on the nut—done!
