Styracosaurus Skull – Display Model with Stand

Styracosaurus Skull A detailed display model of the spectacular skull of Styracosaurus, one of the most distinctive horned dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous. Styracosaurus was a ceratopsian dinosaur closely related to Triceratops, but instead of the familiar three-horn arrangement, it carried a huge nasal horn and an incredible array of long spikes projecting from the back of its frill. It lived around 75 million years ago in what is now North America. This model is designed as a manageable display piece while still being large enough for all of those characteristic horns and frill details to really stand out. Dimensions Approximately: 250 mm tall 246 mm wide 140 mm front to back Removable Display Stand The skull comes with a removable display stand, allowing it to sit upright as a freestanding display piece. The stand is supplied on the second build plate, so you can also print the skull by itself if you have another display method in mind. Printing Despite the rather intimidating collection of horns, this is a fairly straightforward print. Support removal is easy, and the remaining support contact points clean up nicely with a sharp scalpel or hobby blade. Take your time around the smaller details and the finished model should require very little additional work before going on display. A great project for dinosaur fans, fossil collectors, classrooms, museums, palaeontology displays or anyone who simply wants an unusually spiky dinosaur skull sitting on their shelf.
