Descripción
Modular kit for securely adapting your portable AC to an open tilt-window and adding an intake hose for better cooling efficiency. Holds the window firmly in place while sealing off the opening and providing excellent airflow for both the intake & exhaust vents. For complete sealing, I recommend cutting foam pieces to fill the open space above and below the opened window. The kit includes a 255x230mm to 150mm intake hose adapter for portable AC units, a modular plate with two 150mm vents and adjustable brackets to fit the majority of tilt-windows as shown in the cover image. Printing: Print this in PETG or ABS. The exhaust vent will get too hot for PLA. The file is structured as follows: The kit is made up of multiple 250mm segments and a smaller 105mm segment. In my case, the window was 85.5cm in height, so I needed both adapter segments (plates 3 and 4), as well as the top segment with mounts (plate 5) and the short 105mm fill plate (plate 7), which adds up to 855mm. Perfect fit, almost like I designed it specifically for that window or something :) In your case, measure the height of your window. Then print the plates according to your needs. You can add a blank 250mm segment by printing plate 6, or a blank 105mm segment by printing plate 7. It is likely that you'll need to modify at least one piece to achieve a perfect fit, if you wish to have zero gap. Whether you do that with a hacksaw or by simply shortening the piece in the slicer is up to you. Assembly: Assembly is fairly simple, refer to this image. The only supplies required are some M8x20 Screws, nuts and washers to secure the mounting brackets. The locking pieces to secure the segments together are meant to fit tightly, don't hesitate to tap them into place lightly with a hammer. You can assemble the segments in different orders than shown here, just be sure to have a set of mounting brackets somewhere near the top and another somewhere near the bottom. Test fit everything and then tighten the screws. The brackets can be both slid back and forth within their mounting slots, as well as tilted to fit as tightly as possible. Make sure to place the exhaust vent ABOVE the intake vent! The intake will otherwise ingest hot air directly from the exhaust! While this design should fit most european-style tilt windows as shown in the cover image, there is no way I can guarantee it will fit yours exactly. The modular design and seperate brackets should however make it easy to adapt with minimal effort. Happy printing and enjoy!
