🦷 Dental Tooth & Gum Demonstration Model with Weighted Display Stand Boost MeI'd greatly appreciated and helps me a lot with continuing my deisgnsThis is a realistic dental demonstration model (cartoonish picture with the real dentist for proprotions) designed for dentists to clearly explain treatments and procedures to their patients. It represents a cross-section of a tooth and surrounding gum, allowing patients to better understand tooth anatomy and what their treatment involves. The project was developed in collaboration with a practicing dentist, ensuring it meets the needs of daily clinical use while remaining practical, durable, and visually engaging. The tooth and gum are separate pieces, allowing the tooth to be removed from the gum and shown more closely to patients during consultations. The display stand was designed in Fusion 360, while the tooth and gum were sculpted in Nomad Sculpt to achieve a realistic organic appearance. The stand includes a hidden cavity that can be filled with weights, such as old screws, nuts, or other metal pieces, giving it excellent stability and preventing it from tipping over during demonstrations. For the model shown in the photos, I used clear UV resin to recreate the enamel, producing a remarkably realistic translucent effect. I also used thin electrical wires to represent the nerves and blood vessels inside the tooth. Once positioned, they were secured with super glue and encapsulated with UV resin for a clean, natural finish. Rather than using an AMS, I chose to hand-paint the entire model using an airbrush and fine brushes. This gave me much greater control over the colours and subtle shading, resulting in a unique, highly realistic finish. Of course, if you have an AMS, you can also download the individual parts and create your own multicolour version. I would recommend printing all the parts in white filament and treating the painting as part of the project. It's incredibly rewarding and allows you to achieve a truly professional-looking result. This model has taken many months of design, sculpting, testing, and refinement, and I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out. My dentist friend was genuinely surprised by how professional and useful it looked, which made all the effort worthwhile. If you decide to print it, I'd be truly grateful if you could share a photo of your make. Seeing other people enjoying and using my designs is the best reward I could ask for. Thank you very much, and I hope you enjoy building and painting it! The display stand looks stunning on Wood PLA, also includes a small name plate at the front, allowing you to personalize the model with a dentist's name, clinic name, or logo from the bambulab text option. This adds a professional touch and makes it ideal for use in dental practices, consultation rooms, or educational displays. Features: Realistic cross-section of a tooth and gum Designed in collaboration with a dentist Removable tooth for closer patient demonstrations Weighted display stand for excellent stability Tooth and gum sculpted in Nomad Sculpt Stand designed in Fusion 360 Ideal for dental education and patient communication Perfect project for painting and customization Compatible with both hand painting and AMS printing Optimized for FDM and resin printing Happy printing, and I'd love to see your finished model!
