Bring one of Greek mythology’s most recognizable figures to your desk, shelf, or display collection with this detailed Medusa bust. This sculpture reimagines the legendary Gorgon as an elegant classical-style statue, combining a calm human expression with a crown of carefully sculpted snakes. The design is inspired by the art, mythology, and dramatic atmosphere of Ancient Greece and Homer’s epics. Medusa’s presence is also connected to Homer’s Odyssey. During Odysseus’ journey through the Underworld, he fears that Persephone may send the terrifying head of the Gorgon against him. This bust transforms that ominous image into a refined decorative sculpture suitable for modern display. The model was created to look especially striking when printed using marble PLA, giving it the appearance of a carved Greek stone statue while still preserving the visible character of a 3D-printed object. Features Detailed Medusa portrait bust Sculpted snake hair with a balanced silhouette Classical Greek statue-inspired design Strong connection to Greek mythology and Homer’s Odyssey Ideal for marble, stone-effect, or metallic filament Suitable for desks, bookshelves, mythology collections, and historical displays Excellent decorative piece for fans of Greek legends, fantasy art, and ancient sculpture The model can be scaled to create either a small desk ornament or a larger centerpiece. Marble PLA is recommended for the classical statue appearance shown in the presentation images. Created for the MakerWorld Homer’s Epics Design Contest. Print it, display it, and bring an ancient legend into the modern world.
