The staggered vial layout allows the insert to fit more vials into a smaller footprint than a traditional straight-row arrangement. The case includes a removable insert with numbered rows, secure latches, and a dedicated lock point to help discourage unauthorized access or prying eyes. It is well suited for organized long-term storage, including freezer use. The lock point is intended to discourage casual access rather than provide high-security protection. When removing the case from a freezer, allowing it to warm toward room temperature before opening may help reduce condensation on the contents. Recommended to add some 3mL vial loose desiccant holders for extra moisture protection.
