Geralt’s steel sword from The Witcher game series, designed for slaying humans. The silver sword consists of a total of 14 3D-printed parts. Like the other swords from my production, this sword is assembled using an M5 threaded rod that runs through the entire length of the sword. Everything is fully concealed and not visible anywhere. Thanks to the use of the threaded rod, the sword is very sturdy, suitable even for fencing, and will not break. All parts of the sword are connected by an M5 threaded rod with a length of 1000mm, which runs through the center of all components. M5 lock nuts are installed at both ends of the threaded rod. One M5 nut is located in the Blade_4 part, and the other in the Pommel part. Start screwing the threaded rod into the Blade_1 part until the end of the rod is 974 mm from the bottom of the Blade_1 part. Then slide the remaining parts onto the threaded rod according to the assembly drawing. The nut in the Blade_1 and Pommel parts are embedded during printing. To insert the nut, a pause is created in the print profile, allowing the nut to be placed into the 3D print. Blade_1 and Pommel are printed on a separate build plate in order to minimize potential losses in case the nut insertion into the 3D print is unsuccessful. For the first time on this sword, an improved anti-rotation system has been used to prevent the blade sections from twisting relative to each other. The alignment pins are now integrated directly into the printed parts, so there is no need to print and insert them separately. Enjoy the print, and I hope you like Geralt the Witcher’s silver sword.
