What happens when my most successful design meets one of my newest design series? My firefighting pen holders have become a huge part of my MakerWorld journey – and my Fog Nozzle Pen Holder is still my most successful design ever. At the same time, MPAS has grown into a complete modular pool accessory system, now including its own series of pool fountains. So... it was probably only a matter of time before these two worlds collided. 😄 The result is the MPAS Pool Fountain “FireHero”. 🚒💦 Based on the design language of my popular Fog Nozzle Pen Holder and combined with the MPAS Pool Fountain “Pure”, FireHero turns your pool fountain into a firefighting-themed highlight. And yes – this time, the nozzle actually sprays water. 😄 Important – “Pure” is required FireHero is not a standalone MPAS Pool Fountain. It is an extension for my MPAS Pool Fountain “Pure” and requires Pure as its base. The complete FireHero assembly is attached to the front of Pure and should be glued in place as securely and watertight as possible. The water supply is connected externally to Pure via its 1" thread. Please keep in mind that FDM printed parts are not automatically watertight. Before use, I strongly recommend sealing all water-carrying printed parts with clear coat, Dichtol or another suitable sealing product. All connections should also be glued as watertight as possible. Use a sufficient amount of suitable adhesive – in this case, a little too much glue is better than too little. 😄 Even small gaps between the parts may cause water to leak. Assembly The connector part installed inside the coupling and glued to the neck of Pure has an “UP” marking on one side. This marking must face upwards during assembly! The orientation of this part determines the final position of the complete nozzle assembly and ensures that the fog nozzle is positioned the right way up. So before applying glue: Find “UP”, check the orientation, then glue. 😄The red lever on top of the nozzle is purely decorative and has no function. It does not start, stop or regulate the water flow. Water Pattern The spray pattern and range shown in the photos were created with my own pool setup. The actual result may vary depending on pump performance, water flow and the complete hose setup. About the MPAS - Modular Pool Accessory System The MPAS aims to provide a simple solution for attaching a range of accessories to different pools. The installation is done through standardized brackets, to which various modules can be attached. you will find all available MPAS Modules in my Maker World MPAS Collection. Note: The models in the pictures were printed from PLA. For outdoor use, ASA filament should be used due to its UV resistance. You can also use PETG for more strength.
