☢️ 🐶Thermonuclear Reactor Pet-Feeder Module 😺☢️ The Thermonuclear Pet-Feeder Module is a premium sci-fi-inspired automatic pet feeding station that transforms an everyday necessity into a cinematic centerpiece. Designed to resemble a miniature industrial reactor, it combines bold engineering aesthetics with practical functionality, making it equally at home in modern living spaces, gaming setups, workshops, and offices. Standing approximately 15 inches (381 mm) tall and 12 inches (305 mm) wide, the module offers generous food storage while maintaining a compact footprint. Its modest weight makes it easy to relocate anywhere around your home, while the customizable front name plate allows you to personalize the feeder with your cat's or dog's name, giving every unit a unique identity. Featuring an illuminated food chamber (especially useful for older blind/ weak eyesighted pets), a bubbling "radioactive coolant" column, high-detail industrial armor panels, a gravity-fed water system, and mechanical detailing throughout, every element has been designed to create the illusion of a fully operational futuristic reactor. Despite its highly detailed appearance, the model has been engineered for reliable FDM printing without requiring an AMS system for people with all levels of printing experience! Whether you're feeding a curious cat or a loyal dog, the Thermonuclear Pet-Feeder Module is built to be a functional everyday feeder while doubling as a statement piece that is guaranteed to become the focal point of any room. Boost MeIf you enjoyed this design and appreciate the amount of engineering, modeling, prototyping, and testing that went into creating it, a Boost would mean a great deal. It helps support future original projects like this and allows me to continue designing large, highly detailed functional models for the community. Thank you for your support, and I hope your pet enjoys their very own Thermonuclear Pet-Feeder Module. ❤️❤️❤️Key Features Large-capacity dry food storage chamber Illuminated front viewing window Pump-assisted "radioactive coolant" display tube Gravity-fed water reservoir (optional) Adjustable food dispensing system Airtight storage lids for easy refilling Sliding rear utility storage compartment Removable food tray for easy cleaning Transparent front inspection panel Customizable front name plate Modular construction for easy printing and assembly Hardware Required Assembly requires only a few inexpensive components. Required Hardware: 1 × Clear acrylic sheet (front viewing window) 8 × M4 × 12 mm machine screws Super glue (CA glue) Optional Upgrades: For an even more immersive reactor effect, the following upgrades are recommended but completely optional. Mini Aquarium Pump: A small aquarium pump can be installed to circulate the green coolant inside the reactor tube, creating a continuous bubbling effect. Example: LINK. If activating the water chamber, use silicone like this: LINK to ensure there is no leak in the piping joints with the Plastic. The silicone will help seal all the gaps. If you are afraid of leakage or your printer is not properly calibrated, I recommend using an epoxy coat inside the water chamber to avoid any future leakage. Add some food color to make the liquid pop out! Interior Lighting: The food chamber can be illuminated by mounting an LED light source to the inside ceiling of the chamber. This dramatically enhances the industrial reactor appearance, especially in low-light environments. Also useful for old pets. You may use:A small battery-powered puck light An LED strip light Any similar compact lighting solution that fits inside the chamber All compatible lighting options, along with the acrylic sheet and machine screws, are listed in the model's Bill of Materials (BOM). Customization: How to Customize? The front name plate is fully customizable, allowing you to personalize the module with your pet's name, warning labels, fictional reactor names, or your own branding. The design also lends itself well to custom paint jobs, weathering, metallic finishes, LEDs, or additional sci-fi detailing if desired. Step 1: Click and select the piece. Step 2: While selected, click on the ‘text tool’ on the top ribbon. Step 3: Add text to the surface you want and adjust the orientation and depth according to your liking. Step 4: Change the color of the text and slice and print! Print Profiles Included Three optimized print profiles are included to suit different printer sizes and user preferences. Use the given profiles for best results. They are highly modified for best fit. Standard Profile Designed to fit almost all common FDM printers. The model has been divided into smaller sections for maximum printer compatibility while maintaining excellent structural strength. Assembly is straightforward using the included alignment dowels. Simply insert the dowels into their corresponding holes and apply a generous amount of super glue during assembly to create a strong, rigid structure. Large Format ProfileDesigned for large-format printers, such as the Bambu Lab H2D series and other printers with similarly large build volumes. This version contains significantly fewer cuts, resulting in larger printed sections, reduced assembly time, and a cleaner overall appearance with fewer visible seams. While both versions produce virtually the same finished product, the reduced part count gives this profile a slightly more premium look. If your printer can accommodate the larger components, this is the preferred version. Optional Gravity-Refill Water BowlAn additional print profile is included for the Gravity-Refill Water Bowl Attachment. This optional accessory allows the water bowl to be connected to an inverted water bottle, automatically replenishing the bowl as your pet drinks. It's an excellent upgrade for users who want to reduce the frequency of manual water refills while keeping fresh water available throughout the day. Assembly The model has been designed as a modular build and is straightforward to assemble. Print all required parts using your preferred print profile. Dry-fit the components before applying adhesive. Use the provided alignment dowels to accurately position each section. Once satisfied with the fit, apply super glue liberally along all mating surfaces and assemble the parts. Trace the front panel on the sheet and cut the borders and the hole locations for the 4 screws. Install the acrylic viewing window. Secure the structural components using the 4 × M4 × 12 mm machine screws where indicated. Install the food and water components, along with any optional lighting or aquarium pump if desired. If you have any questions during assembly, you can refer to the following build video for guidance. Feel free to pause, rewind, and follow along at your own pace: Assembly Reference Video: https://www.instagram.com/p/Daon67yMfkF/?hl=en *Food-Safe Filament Option: If you intend to use the feeder with food-contact components, you may also print the food-contact parts using Bambu Lab PLA Pure (listed in BOM), which is manufactured using food-contact-approved raw materials. As with any 3D-printed food container, proper printing practices, clean nozzles, and post-processing should be considered to maintain hygiene. You can also combine PLA Pure with different filament colors for the non-food-contact components to create your own unique reactor theme while keeping the food storage chamber printed in food-contact-approved material. VOILÀ! YOUR THERMONUCLEAR PET-FEEDER MODULE IS NOW READY! ☢️🐾 PLEASE BOOST IF YOU LIKED THIS BUILD PROJECT!
