This one was quite the task! I originally did my clicker bar using these transparent bead storage cases which worked perfectly fine while making the odd one at home but I ran into a bit of an issue when we took it to our events. The first was they were quite small in height meaning I couldn't put a lot of keycaps in them, it also caused overflow into the other containers when people were digging around for the colour they wanted so I had random letters mixed in with each other. 😩 They were also a pain to put out on display because they came with an attached lid so I had to keep them closed after people left or use double the space to keep them open. Not great when you're already busy enough building the actual clickers and limited on table space! That got me motivated to upgrade the display - I looked around for a while but couldn't find anything that really matched what I needed so I set myself to work. The main issues I needed to resolve were: It had to be modular so I can always add extras for new keycaps if needed. Had to be held together somehow during the events so it doesn't get pushed over easily by people but needs to be able to accommodate for different sized bins and layouts due to table restrictions. A slot to show the letters/symbols as people often got lost trying to find letters if keycaps were flipped upside down in the box, worse if letters got mixed around already. Ideally stackable so I can just stack them together after events and pack it away in a box for ease of use. A lid preferably so they don't accidentally fall out or have other small objects fall into them. Features of the storage bins: Fully modular. x1, x4 and x9 bins. Bins are stackable. Please note x9 bin requires 256mm x 256mm build plates but you can print a x4 with x1 and combine to make a x9 for A1 Mini users. Two coupler versions for joining displays. Bins can be attached with the row or the quad coupler. There are both snug and loose fits so print the one best for your printers/filament calibration. Quad couplers are for holding 4 bins together or for joining large 9 bins with 4 bins. The row coupler is if you wanted to build horizontally/vertically only. Display slot version and one without. Slots are slide in and can be removed after event completion by placing it inside the bin with the keycaps for easy storage. Personally I like the slot version but I included one without in case others wanted to use these for other purposes. Stackable. Please note there is a small gap where they are stacked - this finger gap is INTENTIONAL so you can actually separate them easier without them getting stuck. (Mishaps have happened during testing...) Various lid options. x1 lids have handles and coupler holes, x4 lids have coupler holes, x9 lid have no holes. If using the handle versions for x1, please secure handles using GLUE. I could add more variations but I feel like for most people these versions should suffice. For handles I have a short and a taller version as well. There are two sizes to these in case you find them too tight to fit into the hole on the lids. Boost MeBoost me for more free models!
