Description

A fully parametric side-release buckle designed for 3D printing.

Customize it directly in the MakerWorld / OpenSCAD customizer to fit straps, webbing, cords, paracord, loops or flat mounting tabs — no CAD software required.

This model generates a real two-part buckle:

male part with flexible snap arms and rigid center guide;
female part with side-release windows.

Main features

7 attachment styles, independently selectable for each side

Choose a different tail style for the male and female parts:

sewn slot
belt pass-through
adjustable tri-glide
paracord holes, 2 or 4 holes
closed loop / D-ring style
single cord hole
solid flat tab

The tail shape automatically adapts to the selected attachment type: narrow rounded shape for cord use, full-width body for webbing, shaped tails for loops, paracord and flat mounting.

Wide size range

Designed for webbing widths from 10 mm to 60 mm, with adjustable overall thickness from 5 mm to 14 mm.

Rigid center guide tongue — V2

The male part includes a rigid central guide tongue that helps insertion, reduces lateral wobble and protects the flexible arms from over-bending.

On very narrow buckles, the guide is automatically disabled if there is not enough physical space.

Improved snap-fit durability

V2 includes several geometry improvements:

rounded arm roots to reduce stress concentration;
chamfered and rounded entry mouth for smoother insertion;
side windows sized so the arms can relax when locked;
adjustable latch geometry and arm stiffness.

One-parameter fit tuning

The most important parameter is clearance.

Recommended starting point:

default: 0.35
tighter fit: 0.25 – 0.30
looser fit: 0.40 – 0.45

Print, test, then fine-tune only this value first.

Safe parametric sliders

Critical parameters are internally limited to keep the geometry printable.

If a limit is reached, OpenSCAD shows a NOTE in the console.

Multilingual customizer labels

The customizer labels are shown in 5 languages:

Italian / English / French / German / Chinese
IT / EN / FR / DE / 中文

Set part = "guide" to display a translated parameter legend directly in the 3D preview.

Modern printable design

V2 has a smoother commercial look with:

rounded top edges;
slightly barreled female body sides;
shaped attachment tails;
flat bottom for reliable bed adhesion.

Printing instructions

Print the parts flat on the bed, exactly as generated in the both layout.

This is important because the snap arms flex in the XY plane, so the stress stays within the printed layers.

Do not print the buckle upright, otherwise the arms may break along the layer lines.

Recommended settings:

no supports required;
PETG or PLA+ recommended;
ABS / ASA for outdoor or hotter environments;
0.2 mm layer height;
3 perimeters;
25–40% infill.

For this model, perimeters matter more than infill.

ready-to-print STL pair for 25 mm webbing:
- male part with sewn slot;
- female part with tri-glide attachment.

主要特点

7 种尾部固定方式，两端可独立选择

公扣和母扣两端都可以分别选择不同的尾部结构：

缝制槽；
腰带 / 厚织带穿孔；
可调日字扣；
伞绳孔，支持 2 孔或 4 孔；
闭合环 / D 形环风格；
单绳孔；
实心平面固定片。

尾部形状会根据选择自动变化：绳孔版本为窄圆头，织带版本为全宽度，环扣、伞绳和平面固定版本也会生成对应的外形。

宽尺寸范围

支持 10 mm 到 60 mm 的织带宽度，整体厚度可在 5 mm 到 14 mm 之间调整。

中央刚性导舌 — V2 新增

公扣中间带有刚性导舌，可帮助插入时自动对中，减少侧向晃动，并限制弹性臂过度弯曲。

在非常窄的插扣中，如果空间不足，导舌会自动禁用。

改进的卡扣耐用性

V2 对结构做了多项优化：

弹性臂根部圆角，降低应力集中；
插入口倒角和圆角处理，插入更顺滑；
侧窗长度经过调整，使锁紧后弹性臂可以回到放松状态；
卡齿、弹性臂长度和刚度均可调节。

只需一个关键参数调节松紧

最重要的配合参数是 clearance。

建议起始设置：

默认值：0.35
更紧：0.25 – 0.30
更松：0.40 – 0.45

建议先打印测试，再优先调整这个参数。

安全参数限制

关键参数带有内部限制，避免生成不可打印或无效的几何体。

当参数触发限制时，OpenSCAD 控制台会显示 NOTE 提示。

多语言参数标签

定制器参数标签同时显示 5 种语言：

意大利语 / 英语 / 法语 / 德语 / 中文
IT / EN / FR / DE / 中文

将 part = "guide" 设置为图例模式，可以在 3D 预览中查看所选语言的参数说明。

更现代的可打印外观

V2 具有更接近商业产品的外观：

顶部圆角；
母扣侧面轻微鼓形；
根据固定方式自动变化的尾部形状；
底面始终平整，方便贴合打印平台。

打印说明

请将零件平放在打印平台上打印，保持 both 布局生成的方向。

这点非常重要：弹性卡臂是在 XY 平面 内弯曲的，这样受力主要发生在层内。

不要竖直打印，否则卡臂可能会沿层线断裂。

推荐设置：

无需支撑；
推荐 PETG 或 PLA+；
户外或高温环境建议 ABS / ASA；
层高 0.2 mm；
3 圈壁；
填充 25–40%。

对于这个模型，外壁数量比填充率更重要。

适用于 25 mm 织带 的现成 STL：
